PURECEUTICAL two-phase cleansing solution for whitening of pigment blemishes contains a combination of active ingredients, which have skin-brightening effects while thoroughly clean and treat your skin.
- The product contains an active ingredient that lightens your skin safely. It adds lighter and brighter skin tone. The skin color is mainly determined by the quantity, distribution and type of melanin, which is a pigment substance produced by melanocytes through a process called melanogenesis. Melanin synthesis occurs within organelles called melanosomes, which contain specific enzymes controlling the production of pigments. The first step of melanogenesis is mediated by tyrosinase, a key enzyme that directs melanin synthesis reactions. Abnormal accumulation of melanin is the cause of hyperpigmentation, which can become a serious aesthetic problem.
- Another active ingredient is a compound hydroglycol solution, which especially focuses on removal of the strongly pigmented epidermal cells. This active substance also contains a number of other components, whose focus is to regulate tyrosinase activity and this way gradually reduce pigmentation on skin surface. Any skin-whitening agent is considered a tyrosinase inhibitor
